Raf & Sabine about the purchase of their apartment in Louise Marie

Making the most of what life has to offer closer to the city. That’s what Louise Marie means to Raf and Sabine. In late 2019, they decided not to wait until retirement to fully enjoy themselves. They have explained to us how they’re looking forward to their move and how making certain decisions has brought them peace of mind.

Where did you first hear about the project?

We happened to be driving by. Our first thought was ‘wow, what a location!’

It started as a bit of a mad idea. What if we sold our house and moved back to the city? When we got home, we immediately started to do some research. And the more we found out, the more we liked what we saw.

The project, the surroundings, CORES as a company … it all sounded very promising. We were also able to compare other projects and were soon convinced that Louise Marie is our dream!

We approached CORES not long after. We took our time to read up on things, but after a few months we decided to take the plunge.

In the meantime, our enthusiasm has also convinced my sister and a couple of friends of the benefits of Louise Marie!

Returning to the city: an important decision for the whole family

When we got married, we lived in a flat in the centre of town. We enjoyed it there, but it was too small to start a family. That’s why we moved to a single-family dwelling in Wilrijk, which we later converted into a kangaroo house. Our family currently consists of my wife, my son, my mother and our dog. We all decided to swap our house and move back to the city. My mother will no longer live in the same house, but in the same building. That way, we will still be together in a way!
